Pictures from the Field - Coils

Here are some pictures of chilled water coils that are beyond repair. They may seem clean and in fairly good shape but if you look at the return bends, you'll see several leaks. Unfortunately these coils were purchased with thin wall tubing. This means that if a rupture occurs, there will not be enough material to repair the hole and the entire coil needs replacement.

The cheaper thin wall tubing seams attractive in the beginning but replacing the coils sooner than normal is the risk.
